Reading Reflection
The book title was Glass by Ellen Hopkins. I had read pages 602- the end. Finally i finished it and it was a intense ending. Things went from bad to worse then OK then bottom of the pits bad. One thing I had predicted actually ended up true and it was kind of scary seeing what would happen after they got busted. Kristina has proved that long term drug use does end up very badly and i think to everyone who does read this book thinks the same. Reading this book made me gasp every time the plot changed. I was kind of surprised how the book ended mind you she had it coming after trying to smuggle tonnes of drugs across the state line. i think there's a sequel to this book called Fallout, but this book just came out and I have yet to get my hands on it. At the end of the book Glass it had a piece written from (Grown up hunter)- Kristina's baby boy. It told us his perspective of his life and foreshadowed that he too had an issue with drugs and attendance in class yet he made it to college which is good. This book was a 5 star rating anyone who loves drama packed teen drug novels this is it in a nutshell here. Must read!
---I'm actually going to lengthen this one here by saying that I started up a new book. Yes also by Ellen Hopkins as I have yet to read some of the books. This one is called Tricks. this one is about Love and how it can be the best thing ever or the worst thing. It foreshadowed that the loves portrayed in this book were bad ones. Ive only read 30 pages but the main characters name is Eden and it tells us that her relationship is a non-approved one. its going to be interesting to see what develops through out the book and I shall keep you posted.
On another note I find me reading more so now then usual. I'm not a big reader and I'm a very busy chick so I have very minimal time to read. This class has helped me have time for me and do something i like for me. I find this class very helpful and productive and i enjoy our reading class. My reading habits have also changed not a lot but a little bit. Ive noticed instead of watching TV and making my brain melt i choose to read on with the stories because I'm curious to see what happens.
Writing Reflection
First topic is the VACKS-ing my moment story. I thought i did very well one this, i even went a step ahead not knowing we were doing this in class later on. I found it easy because the story I chose for my moment incorporated the (vacks-ing) very well. Ive learnt that when its time to become a "writer" that I actually get word vomits all over my page,not knowing where this had been. The next topic is the blog. Ugh well i think the blog is going as best as it can be. before this class i had thought about getting or making up a blog but the thing stopping me was thew fact that i don't have much time to maintain it nor would no what to base it on. I think that's my problem here not knowing what else to write or put up that's making it difficult for me. I do enjoy having something over the net made by me and in regards to making a twitter.. NO!.:P i absolutely refuse to make or learn how to stalk people and there life every second of there lives...just goes to show you don't have one if your wasting your time doing that. Plus I have way to many profiles and accounts to try and keep up with. Last topic? Hmmm fan fiction. Sounds pretty neat, I'm not one for being that into series books and starting up discussions with others but I suppose i could give it a try. Don't boot it till you try it right?..OK i think I'm word vomited out.
